Springtime Snow

March30

DSC_0343 (2)Doesn’t Mother Nature know that it is Springtime? I guess she just wanted to screw us up by giving us one last snowfall.  I know the ground needs the moisture, but really snow in the springtime? I guess Phil the Groundhog was wrong about the early spring!

While we were battling the snow on our way home from Missouri, Trever was kind enough to take the first driving shift so I could take some pictures from inside the car of the snow.  Luckily we were not going very fast due to the weather.  Its amazing the pictures you can take from a moving vehicle!

While we were packing the car, DSC_03201I stupidly told Trever that he could put my camera in the trunk. W hat was I thinking?!?  When we started driving i was sitting thinking how pretty everything was and that I wished I had my camera.  I turned to Trev and asked if he put it in the trunk, and he said no, of course not, its right behind your seat!  How is that for the best husband in the world!!!!!!!!

How do you Measure a Year?

March14

Its easy for forget what it takes to be married.  Especially when one is married for so longDSC_03291.  Easy to forget all the little things that keep a couple in love.  Its too easy to get complacent, to not go the extra mile.  To feel like you have just a companion or a room mate rather that an eternal soul mate.   I think it takes a trial in your life to truly appreciate what it takes to make a marriage work.  Not just love, but unconditional love, trust and appreciation.

DSC_0338There are a thousand little things I love about my husband, probably more. He brings me coffee some mornings while I am sitting checking email.  Not every morning, just random enough to make me happy and appreciate it all the more.  I am really not a morning person, so maybe he is just trying to wake me more pliable in the morning. And he loves being all happy and awake in the morning when I wake up grumpy.  When he walks by me and I have the chair footstool up, he tickles my toes.  That drives me crazy, but I admit, it makes me smile.

I woke up at 4 AM this morning, and I immediately started thinking about the last year, and the 15  years we have been married.  Today is our anniversary.  Every married couple has good times and bad, hopefully more good than bad.  While I should have been sleeping, this song popped into my head, and now I can’t get rid of it.  A song from the musical Rent.

So Happy Anniversary to my nest friend, soul mate, and best husband I could ever hope for.  All my Love, All my Life.

Seasons Of Love by Rent Cast

Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes,
Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Moments so dear.
Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes
How do you measure, measure a year?

In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights
In cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.

In five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes
How do you measure
A year in the life?

How about love?
How about love?
How about love? Measure in love

Seasons of love. Seasons of love

Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes!
Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Journeys to plan.

Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes
How do you measure the life
Of a woman or a man?

In truths that she learned,
Or in times that he cried.
In bridges he burned,
Or the way that she died.

It’s time now to sing out,
Tho’ the story never ends
Let’s celebrate
Remember a year in the life of friends
Remember the love!
Remember the love!
Seasons of love!

Oh you got to got to
Remember the love!
You know that love is a gift from up above
Share love, give love spread love
Measure measure your life in love.

All the Pretty Flowers

January22

Yellow FlowerI have a lot of photographs in my pictures file on the computer.  Getting to look at them and edit them is a difficult task, seeing  as how I have to share the computer with my son, Gavin.  Who am I kidding, i know it is really mostly his computer.  Soon I will be getting my own laptop, and I wont have to use Trever’s or fight for partial custody of mine.  Anyway, back to the photos.  While going through some of my old  “Arsty Pics” folders., I came across some nice floral photos.  A few came from Flowers that Trever sent me for my birthday, some are flowers found during walks around the neighborhood.
